BODY PROCEDURES
Our team of plastic surgeons consists of superb artists, with an incredible ability to build curves and sculpt muscles through cosmetic surgery.
With a new perspective of modern medicine, we have found the perfect relationship between art and human anatomy to give life to different techniques such as the High Definition Liposculpture that has revolutionized traditional liposuction and our famous Brazilian butt lift, amongst all plastic surgery procedures that we offer in order to create beautiful and contoured bodies.
LIPOSUCTION, LIPO 360 & LIPOSCULPTURE
Improve your appearance with liposuction. There are people that are in good health and in good physical condition, have a disproportionate figure due to the localized accumulation of fat. The formation of these fat deposits may be due to genetic tendencies rather than lack of weight control or being out of shape. Liposuction refines and reshapes specific areas of the body by removing fat deposits, which improves your body shape and proportion and, as a consequence, your self-image.
Liposuction techniques can be used to reduce localized deposits of fat in:
Thighs, hip and buttocks, abdomen and waist, upper arms, back, inner thighs, male breast, cheeks, chin and neckcalves. In some cases, liposuction is the only procedure performed; in others, it is used in conjunction with plastic surgery techniques such as a facelift, breast reduction, or tummy tuck.
However, liposuction is not designed to treat obesity or a substitute for proper diet and exercise. It is also not a treatment to eliminate cellulite, the dimpled skin that commonly forms on the thighs, hips, and buttocks, or sagging skin.
It is one of the three most performed cosmetic surgeries in the world. It consists of reshaping the body silhouette through the aspiration and/or injection of fat. There are multiple names for this procedure such as: liposuction, lipoHD, high definition lipo, lipo3D, lipo5K, lipomiosculpture, lipoflash, lipolaser, lipovaser, lipodefinition, lipomarking, BBL Brazilian butt lift, coolsculpting, among many others. However, the basic procedure is the same and the added terms generally refer to the plug-in or certain technical refinements.
It is not a procedure to lose weight but to “shape” the figure so that the best candidates are patients with a maximum body mass index (BMI) of 30 (overweight or mildly obese grade 1). The “lipo” has been accompanied by multiple medical equipments to optimize it such as Laser, Ultrasound or Vaser, and more recently the MICROAIRE. All liposculpture have in common the infiltration of a liquid (tumescent solution) into the fat prior to its extraction, which allows the fat to be separated without producing bleeding.
This is one of the most innocuous interventions in plastic surgery and its execution is relatively simple but laborious, which is why the procedure has often been abused by unqualified medical personnel, claiming to perform it in inappropriate conditions. It allows you to achieve spectacular results, with fast and painless recovery, and return to work or study in a week or less.
Fat transfer or lipoinjection to the buttocks or face frequently accompanies fat extraction. It consists of processing part of the aspirated fat and grafting it in areas where you want to gain volume. It has limitations in terms of the amount of fat transferred to the receiving areas, but in general, it allows you to improve shape and volume, but not so much consistency. The injection of large amounts of fat and the application in deep planes are contraindicated to avoid complications.
TUMMY TUCK
The Tummy Tuck Surgical procedure is designed for men and women, which aims to remove excess skin and fat that is flaccid either on the abdomen, thighs, arms or back. In the case of treating the abdomen, it is called abdominal lipectomy or abdominoplasty. So, the excess skin is removed and the muscles are tighten in order to improve the contour of the torso.
It produces a transverse scar at the lower abdominal level that can go from hip to hip, in such a way that it is hidden inside the bathing suit or underwear. Some scars and stretch marks below the navel may disappear in the segment of skin and fat that is removed Women who are considering subsequent pregnancies surgery is not recommended because the results obtained may be lost. However, it will not alter the development of the baby.
In patients who have undergone significant dietary regimes, they present large extensions of skin that do not have an adequate elastic capacity, which is why they must undergo lipectomy of the arms, thighs or back.
In this event, they must be careful not to present malnutrition that would lead to complications during and after surgery. The average surgical time is 2 to 4 hours depending on each case. In the abdominoplasty, an incision is made at the pubic level (where the scar will remain), through the lower abdominal fold, the skin and excess fat are lifted and dried; at this time the exposed muscles are treated with stitches to define the contour and restore tone to the abdominal wall. Finally, the skin is sutured, leaving drainage tubes to prevent the accumulation of fluids. Usually the patient is hospitalized for 1 -2 days.
It is usually done under general anesthesia. It is important to inform your Plastic Surgeon about the use of medications (contraceptives, aspirin, etc.), as well as about diseases (phlebitis in the legs, digestive disorders, recent flu states, etc.), which may influence the procedure. If you have decided to have surgery, your plastic surgeon will give you a series of pre-surgical instructions about the foods you should eat, avoid alcoholic beverages and some drugs.
If you smoke, you need to quit at least 2 weeks before surgery. You should not expose yourself to the sun before and after surgery as it favors inflammation and the accumulation of pigment in the scar. You must be clear that the flaccidity of the skin does not improve with surgery, so it is possible that you present subsequent foot accesses.
MOMMY MAKEOVER
Reverses bodily changes resulting from pregnancy. This term, which could be translated as the mother’s makeover, is emerging as a trend promoted by great international artists who have just become mothers and want to recover the perfection of their bodies after giving birth. Actually, it is a set of plastic surgery interventions, generally three: mammoplasty, abdominoplasty, and liposculpture, whose purpose is to recover the shape and volume of the breasts, a completely flat abdomen, eliminate excess fat and shape the body, especially on the thighs, back, and waist.
It is important to note that the combination of surgical procedures is possible if:
- If the patient’s conditions allow it (age, health, weight)
- If the surgeries are a little traumatic (little trauma, little blood loss)
- If the type of anesthesia is suitable for long interventions
Many young mothers are anxious to recover their previous anatomical condition lost or altered by pregnancy, however, the good judgment of the surgeon must prevail in order not to expose the patient to unnecessary risk by trying to force several surgeries at a single time.
In many cases, it is advisable to wait a few months between one intervention and another.
BBL - BRAZILIAN BUTT LIFT
The Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) is a surgical procedure that was developed to add volume to the buttocks while giving them a firmer, lifted appearance. It is a completely natural procedure that uses the body’s own fat to create a more sculpted and better-proportioned physique.
Augmentation is used to create a more streamlined appearance by removing fat from areas of the body that need it least and adding it to the buttocks, precisely where it is needed most. Diet and exercise do not always lead to perfect proportions. To get more voluptuous curves in all the right places, surgery is often necessary.
The procedure is performed by fat transfer (lipotransfer). The procedure is divided into several stages. It begins with liposuction to remove fat cells from the abdomen, back, inner thighs, or some other area of the body that needs less volume. During this stage of the fat transfer procedure, surgeons carefully sculpt the body to create a slimming effect in areas that need less fat. Creating symmetry is an important goal during this stage. Doctors can extract fat from multiple areas of the body to create the most harmonious contours and achieve a balanced appearance. The adipose (fat) cells that have been removed are then processed using a special proprietary method that will help them survive the next stage of the procedure: transplantation.
Step 2: The fat is purified
Fat cells that are taken from one part of the body are purified and strengthened by a special procedure before being transferred to the buttocks. This stage of the procedure is essential to help the fat cells survive the transfer to their new location.
Step 3: The fat is injected
Once fat cells have been removed from an area of the body and processed for transplantation, the surgeon uses a small cannula to insert the fat cells into the buttocks. Typically, this procedure is done without general anesthesia, making the surgery much safer and more comfortable for patients. Instead, patients receive local anesthesia and sedation to make them comfortable. Few or no stitches are required. Patients can return to work within 7 to 10 days, but will not be able to sit directly on their buttocks for approximately 3 weeks.
In patients who have undergone significant dietary regimes, they present large extensions of skin that do not have an adequate elastic capacity, which is why they must undergo lipectomy of the arms, thighs or back.
BODY LIFT
The body lift is a major surgical procedure that aims to tighten the abdominal wall and improve body contour. This is achieved by removing excess skin and fat from the middle and lower abdomen and strengthening the muscles of the abdominal wall (plication of the rectus abdominis muscles). This procedure can drastically reduce the bulging appearance of the abdomen, and improve the appearance of the back and buttocks. In return, it leaves a permanent circumferential scar.
